Player Actions and Button Descriptions

  1. Bet
    To make a bet, a player must click on the chip value that he desires to bet on
  2. Blackjack
    Blackjack is when an initial two cards add up to 21.
  3. Bust
    This is a term used to denote the score exceeding 21 leading to the player going over and thus losing.
  4. Double
    A player can ‘double down’ or double his bet after he has been dealt his first two cards and believes that he can beat the dealer’s hand with the third card.
  5. Hit
    When the player wants a third card, he can request for a Hit. A player can take a hit at any time prior to standing
  6. Deal
    Once a bet has been placed, press deal to start the game. The player receives two cards face up and the dealer also gets two cards, one face up and one face down.
  7. Insurance
    It allows a player to protect himself when he believes the dealer to have blackjack. Insurance costs half of the initial bet. If the dealer has blackjack, insurance pays back the initial bet. Insurance is lost if the dealer doesn’t have blackjack. If both player and dealer have blackjack the game is a push also named ‘even money.’
  8. Push
    This occurs if the dealer’s cards and the player’s cards are equal (from 17 to 21), resulting in no winner. The player’s bet will also be returned in such a case.
  9. Split
    If player’s initial cards are of equal value then the player allowed to split the cards into two separate hands by placing a second bet of equal value to the first. The player is allowed up to three hands at one time. The cards are then drawn as usual except; if a player has split aces, where one further card is permitted per hand. A hand that totals 21 post splitting aces is considered 21, not blackjack.
  10. Stand
    Stand is the term used to denote satisfaction on the player’s part with his hand. Standing is automatic if player has 21 or post doubling-down
  11. Surrender
    When a player surrenders he forfeits the hand and the player is returned 50% of the original bet while the other half goes to the house.
